Neighbor Melissa Portera and her dog Oliver. (© Clark James Mishler)

3:15 PM, Monday, January 26, 2015.  Neighbor Melissa Portera and her dogs Barnie and Oliver.  “If you could do anything, what would you want to do?”  “Your question has been very thought provoking for me.  If you had asked me a few years ago, I would have answered by indicating some type of career, or with something such as being a good wife and mom; but now I realize that the answer is much more broad; but really specific.  Life is very short and our time on earth is limited.  I believe the only thing that lasts is the impact we make for Christ here on earth.  Therefore, if I could be anything, I would like to be bold for Christ and obedient in what He leads me to do.  I want to integrate in the community here, and make a difference in the lives of the people I meet.”
