Portrait 365/54

Jessica Kazjierczak, 2010 Miss Rondy Queen.  Yes, she really is as good looking as she appears but the real reason I have chose Ms. Kazjierczak for today’s portrait is to talk about the light.  I photographed this image in a large meeting room crowded with people and media.  I placed a single Vivitar 283 on a light stand at about 15 feet from the subject and triggered it with a Pocket Wizard.  The 283 was pointed straight up into the ceiling with a Gary Fong Lightsphere attached over the top of the strobe unit (This is the crazy little tupperware look-a-like about the size of large coffee cup).   So, some of the light was coming directly from the Lightsphere while the majority was bounced off the ceiling.  It was fast and easy and I hope you will agree that the results are really terrific.
